Upgrading to E3 from Business Premium O365 ADConnect
-
Question...
We have a basic Business Premium O365 subscription that syncs with Win2012.r2 using ADconnect.
Email is cloud side. Will upgrading to E3 subscription affect the ADconnect sync?

Does AADConnect do auto-provisioning yet? If you are assigning licenses in the portal or some other means, it should be transparent. (I am using Okta now, instead).

One thing you should consider is how each install of the Office client will handle the licensing change. I went from pro plus to business premium last year. There were some issues that made users log in to activate Office again. Sometimes, I had to use the fix it tool to remove the install and then use a new click to run that was specifying business premium in the xml file.

Okta
Mostly want to make sure upgrading will not affect the sync portion.

An easy way to tell would be to get a single E3 license and apply it to your own user or test account. See what happens.

That is true... thanks!

AADC you can use if you have AAD. I don't think it depends on any user licenses specifically.
