Sophos UTM  I'm checking logs right now and I don't see anything yet

Also, no errors in the Twilio debugger.

      Any changes made there?

Only the updates to the UTM. I did fire up a new FreePBX install (on a new IP address) when we switched to Twilio, I'll set the new PBX IP to the old PBX's address and see if there is something going on with the routing.

Things have been working better than ever since the switch to Twilio 2 weeks ago, so maybe the last round of sophos updates screwed me. I'll keep digging.

Don’t change many things at once. You will hurt yourself in the end.

UTM updates would be a key candidate for problems.

@bnrstnr Where I work right now, we have a lot of SonicWalls deployed.... none of the VOIP systems connect through a SonicWall.

SonicWalls famously cause problems with VoIP. They traditionally are the number 1 VoIP problem we see in teh while.

Have you tried this? Disable the SIP module could fix your problem.

All morning I've been messing with firewall settings, watching all kinds of logs, rebooting the firewall/freepbx/host to no avail.

Somehow the cable modem has been off my troubleshooting radar today... well, I rebooted it just now and everything seems to be back to normal  We did lose power last Thursday and looking back through logs, the call dropping did seem to start right after the power turned back on. I don't think the cable modem is on the UPS so maybe having a few hard power cycles and brown outs in a row messed something up? No idea. Glad it's working again though. Definitely going to put the modem on the UPS now though.

That's because is a simple setting to enable, same as disabling SIP-ALG that is enabled on most routers or firewalls like Ubiquiti, Linksys...

Only Setting to enable is consistent NAT... under VOIP...

One that is super annoying and cannot disable for now is the new Verizon FIOS Routers at home.

I will say that our Sophos SG has been solid over the years, and it was super easy to setup. I have used the built in VOIP helper since we ported our POTS lines to VoicePulse a few years ago, and we just recently switched to Twilio. Shots of the only setup required below.

@bnrstnr that's your most likely culprit, having it be SIP aware.
