Okay, so SIP headers. Um wow, never had to deal with this from any provider before.

These can be messed with in all kinds of advanced ways. but it is not something you should have to do for a task as simple as a SIP trunk.

He says he got it resolved by going and making the changes in the SIP settings. . .

That should be this screen. It should have already been populated from day 1 of the install.

Define "stops working" because this should do nothing to anything.
Change this setting. Reboot the PBX and then reboot the phones.
