Lexmark to lay off 1,000 employees as a part of restructuring
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexmark has announced a worldwide restructuring program which will result in hundreds of layoffs.
The Lexington company says it will eliminate approximately 1,000 positions as a result of the plan. The company made the announcement Thursday, and it did not release information on how the layoffs would impact Lexington's workforce. A company spokesperson says the plan is necessary to ensure Lexmark's future success.Lexmark is one of the big companies here in Lexington - so this is rather a big deal..

yes - they had for a while, a strong printer presence.. I'm pretty sure that the Dell printers are the Lexmark engine / body.

THey have already shut down the inkjet division I believe due to poor sales.

They used ot be. No idea if they still are.

one of the rental car companies, can't remember which, was Lexmark printers everywhere. Enterprise maybe?
