Unifi and Zapier/IFTTT or other

  • I have just started thinking about this. I have 4 kids with phones that go to school and come home 3 different times a day. Would be nice to figure out when they have left and returned and usually check the wifi when I cant get ahold of them to see if their device is online.

Is there any API support for the Unifi controller and something like IFTTT or Zapier where I could setup such alerts for devices leaving and joining the home wifi.

Or other suggestion in general are welcome! Thanks!

Ok, this could be useful for all kinds of things, even something as simple as - turn the lights on in the house when you arrive.

  • Not sure if this is what you're looking for however, we use LIfe360 for our cell phones. It is an app that is basically a lo-jack for my kids. I know where they are, if they're driving, how fast they are driving, etc.

  • I'm not sure but thats a great idea. I need to look into it as well.
