I've got an odd issue with my mining rig. I am booting to Ubuntu flash drive to install Ubuntu. Everything boots up as it should, and the installation starts. I lose USB once the installer starts. I can unplug my keyboard and mouse then plug them back in. They will power on for a second then shut right back off.

I boot into Windows and the work fine. This keyboard and mouse have been used countless time on Linux based systems without issue.

They work on boot menu after USB drive loads as well. They only shutdown once the actual gui installer loads

                Could be a bad download.

What software did you use to create the bootable drive?

Rufus, etcher, Fedora Media Writer, etc...?

On Windows, I like using Rufus.

On Linux and Mac, I’ve had great success with Etcher.

So after going back and forth and trying every utility under the sun, I found that this is an issue when booting to 64 bit Linux on any distro with my exact motherboard. There is a setting that needs to be enabled in the bios that isn't explained or anything through setting is called IOMMU Controller.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the informative link I found from another IT forum....

@irj that's going to be a bit of confusion for a while.
