The announcement says that you can manage Access Points. But does not state UniFi ones.

I assume this is because they released version 0.11 he other day.

I have not upgraded to that yet. It is on he project plan for this weekend.

I haven’t checked mine in a while. Is the firewall option there yet?

Man I can’t wait to try this, so many ER out there in the wild.

I haven’t even looked at the beta yet. Do your deploy your own server like UniFi or is it their cloud?

Thank God. I saw there was going to be a container/docker version.

Is the roadmap to replace the unifi server? Or is this only for Edge series?

I don’t know about replace unifi, but it is supposed to support it.

It was originall the *Max series stuff. EdgeMax, AirMax

Is it really 2gb required? Was pretty sured I deployed Unifi controller on a 1gb server.

Memory? No idea. I just deployed the default container.

No, I have all this in a colo. I can get the host specs later. Going to be backing up the current one anyway to do the upgrade.

                                  Prerequisites
Supported Distros: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS (Xenial Xerus) 64-bit and Debian 8 64-bit
                                  2 GB RAM (Minimal)
                                  16 GB storage (Minimal)
                                  64-bit (x64) CPU
                                  Local Ports: 80 and 443
Allow ping (see Devices Latency and Outage Statistics)
                                  bash, curl, sudo, netcat

Could be due to docker and maybe the assumption of Ubuntu.

I notice my home Unifi unit is often lagged behind showing device activity, but assume it was because my kids tend to consume all bandwidth all day long. At night its useful to know when I need to nuke my daughter's access at 1am so she will get up for school the next day.

I have mine on Vultr on a 1024MB 1vcpu instance. It runs fine, but I only have a handful of devices connected to it.

I did mine on Debian 9.1, and they both requires 2 GB on the system. If you do 1 GB, it throws an error and stops the process. I gave it 3 GB to hold both and they both seemed content.

The announcement says that you can manage Access Points. But does not state UniFi ones.

The website suggests it supports (or will support) Unifi APs and even mentions the Amplifi series. That would be nice for helping manage family members home stuff easily when necessary.

This really looks like a central console for all of their devices to eventually fold into. No more Unifi controller for this, Edge web GUI for that, etc. One big controller to rule them all. Pretty sleek if they can keep it from growing too bloated over time.
