I'm using MileCatcher. You can have it autocaterogize trips so if you make the same trip often, it doesn't prompt you to categorize it.

I like MileIQ. It captures all of my drives. I then go into the app and swipe left for personal and right for business on the trip card. I usually do this while I am in line waiting on something, lunch, at mechanic etc. You can then go in and add details to each trip. Then you can export it out into an IRS approved report.

Awesome.. this was the first one my Googling led me to. I've installed it to try at lunch.

It's also included free in O365 Business Premium... I wonder why it's not in E3 or E5?

It has literally this year probably will save me close to $5,000 to $10,000 in tax deductions. All of my clients are two hours away.

Frankly, because doctors typically bill for things at the end of a trip, it would be pretty easy for them to make a docket of their trips from the billing info.. but - whatever.

I've been using Everlance, exactly the same thing. I actually need to go do that, I haven't categorized anything for like 2 weeks now.

I've been using Everlance too. Easy to sort trips right in the app.

I have a friend who uses Automatic in conjunction with his car's ODB-II connector. He's also a SE who does a ton of driving.

Well - apparently our tax advisors have stated that we only need to monitor driving habits for two weeks, then use that data to extrapolate the expected business trips and do math... /sigh.. whatever.

                        Yeah, that's way easier.
