Is your issue absolutely identical? What do the beep codes tell you?

What is the warranty situation? Expired, I am guessing?

@scottalanmiller No beeps unless memory is removed. Otherwise, high fan speed, indicator 2 and 4, no video.

Sounds like the memory or memory controller might be burned out.

Do you have another machine with any memory that can be swapped in to test?

That's too bad, was worth checking, though.

Not sure which generation you have, but here is a link to all the light codes and beep codes:

What are the beeps that you do get when the memory is removed?

I'm guessing the graphics card is integrated on an SFF.

@rojoloco Yes, it is integrated. I don't have a pci express to test, but I am not sure if it will post anyway with the video error.

Reseat the minimum amount of memory, see what it does.

@scottalanmiller Tried that. Also cleared cmos. No change. Still black screen, high fan speed, solid green power light, and indicator 2 and 4 lit.

Do you have anything plugged into that box that could be removed? Any extra cards, USB or anything like that? If so, remove them.

If not, likely the mobo is dead.

I think that likely the desktop is just dead, then. unless you can acquire a replacement motherboard, of course.

@reid-cooper I tend to agree. I will look for something.

Probably worth retiring that box. How old is it?
