Sleep? What's that?
-
So Wednesday I woke up at my normal time for work...7AM. I worked, felt fine and went about my day. The problem is my day just kept going, even when the clock said it was time for it to end. Well, finally, at some time between 3:30 and 4 in the morning, my body let me lay my head down to rest. However, I knew I'd have to be up in well under 4 hours. Tweaking a technique I discovered and perfected in high school (code name "Rising Phoenix"), I was able to get up at 7AM, will less than 4 hours sleep, wide awake and ready for the day. Sounds good right? Well, there was a Spicecorps meetup in the Dallas/Fort Worth area on Thursday night. Afterwards, @PSX_Defector , @dengelhardt and I decided to go for drinks. PSX forgot his ID and was carded so he was dry for the evening, which was funny enough. Well, after the group split, me with more alcohol in my system than PSX after leaving a bar (shocking I know), I decided it was a good idea to go do some work on something with PSX at his place. We got a ton done but by the time we finished, it was after 4AM when I was leaving his place and me still a good 20 minutes or so from my place. I have now realized that I will be employing my other secret technique (code name "Lunar Eclipse") to make it through another day. I can't remember the last time I had to use both my techniques one after the other...I'm pretty sure I have but there is probably a reason I can't remember.
All I can say is TGIF and that, if this works, I will be deserving of some kind of medal or research grant. Something...
None of my current co-workers (although all my former ones) are on here. I'll be working to remedy that soon. However, in regards to today
- being Friday
- me executing Lunar Eclipse
- Number 2 following me executing Rising Phoenix
- me just being me already
...all I have to say is this:
-
Well, crap! I'd have loved to have been there to have a drink. The irony of me drinking while PSX was dry would have been delicious!
-
PSX got carded? That's surprising!
-
PSX must have pissed somebody off to be denied service. No way he looks under 21.

Yeah. 30 maybe, but he'd never pull of 21.

Yup. It was a 22-year-old girl (quite hot I might add). She said she cards pretty much everyone. She didn't card @dengelhardt though...lol
We thought about trying to pass Duwayne as @PSX_Defector 's dad...o.0She even carded me!! I found out Texas' wine is about as good as their pizza. Maybe I was just spoiled in that way growing up in NY. California has trouble matching NY wine, which it surprises me how much that surprises people. In any case, it was a fun evening.
-
@ajstringham yeah. Texas wine is pretty much a train wreck.
