Yup, down here, too. I'm in Oregon. That's nuts!
-
YouTube is back up here.

That would explain the issue I am having in one of the classrooms
-
YouTube might be back up but I was signed in before it went down. I'm signed out now.

They might want to think about it, with you know, billions of users
-
It was a massive global outage apparently. Wonder if Google will post a postmortem.

@coliver I don't understand how that even happens with someone as big as they are.

Someone oopsed with Ansible and took down their media distribution servers? Just a guess.

LOL - I'm guessing someone stole their IPs - mass redirection of traffic - ok not really.

Possible but the traffic wasn't redirected it was just dropped. You could still access the Youtube interface just no videos, subscriptions, or anything was there.

Legal questions around border agents using your face to unlock your iPhone.
And to answer Scott’s statement, legal precedents on one form of biometrics, fingerprints, are that it is perfectly legal.
This is why I reboot my iPhone immediately when entering customs or an situation with police.
You are, currently, legally protected from being forced to divulge a password.
I didn't read every followup post here, but if you spam your power button (hit it 5 times), it forces passcode unlock and also dials for emergency services. This could be easier to do if you just reach your hand in your pocket or maybe you dont have time to hold the buttons and swipe the screen to turn off your phone.

Yeah, I've been on 70 for a week or so. They've really updated it a lot.
