      Lots of good things.
New Realtek wifi driver! Will this be a generic realtek wifi driver that will help with unsupported radios from the last few years?
If only i had Epyc/Ryzen and Vega.
Alas, my 4930k is still overkill 4 years later. Might get a Vega card though if there is a mo'betta version by Christmas.

edit: new wifi driver is for newer 8822 radios.

That, I believe, calls for a new thread?

It depends if you were ever interested in Gnome at all.

My main beef with Gnome is that without an extra tool package, files and directories that you place in the /home/whateverUser/Desktop directory don't actually appear on the desktop. It's been a while since I've given Gnome a chance (notwithstanding a recent thread), so maybe my gripe is no longer valid.

I love that part. I never have anything on my desktop. I use the activities overview to get everything.

I believe Gnome Tweak has a option to enable Desktop. But it was never an issue for me because I dislike anything on there except for wallpaper.

I know with Elementary OS, they removed Desktop folder.

I think it's just carried over from user-dirs.defaults. There might be a reason why it's still there though.

You could just comment it out from that config if you don't want new users to have it. And removing it/commenting it out of ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs should get rid of it for you.

Because in Fedora for example allows you to log in using Gnome classic.
