Finally Back to Work After Irma...

Glad you came out relatively unscathed. We never lost power, but I did have 3 sections of fence get blown over.
-
Glad to hear of your return and things - while still in recovery mode - are getting back to normal. Things can be replaced,.. people and pets - can't.

Where are you located?

My parents had some serious flooding. We have pictures from one of their neighbors on a kayak going through the streets. It's really crazy.
Thankfully they only have to gut one room of their house and repair the siding and sheathing ~3 feet up the front of the house.

Central Georgia (about 2 hours southeast of Atlanta). Our area didn't catch it as bad as some of the surrounding counties.

We are on an island so we were really worried about storm surge. We got some flooding from it, but luckily we are in a high area of the island so our house wasn't affected. I do know quite a few people that were under water. It certainly wasn't as bad as Harvey in my area though.

My parent's house is up just above Daytona. A1A held up this year thankfully so they were able to get to it when the water receded. They had power, oddly, before the storm surge went back out.

Welcome back.

Thanks. I will be spotty on here for a while until I can catch up on everything at work.

So weird that the east coast was affected so much by this storm. We were preparing for the worst when we thought it was going to hit the east coast, but honestly I relaxed a little bit when I saw it was going to make landfall on the west coast. Irma was so strong and her reach was so great that no one was really out of her rage.
