Maybe I should write the how-to I am looking at the guides now and I already want to over complicate it because I want it behind my own Nginx proxy. But I think I will skip that and just install it their way for now. Why? because you don't want to spend $2.50/m on a vultr instance?

That is not a $2.50 instance. Also, I do have a ton of space in colo that is perfectly viable to be used for this. I can use non standard ports and have no issues. But I don't want to do that either.

Holy crap, batman! I have no idea what those specs are based on supporting. I am sure a handful of devices do not need a ton, but you are installing a docker image as part of this process.

I'm installing it inside an LXD container which in turns is inside a XS VM.
 It should works.

My test is running on a $5 instance, no swap, and seems to be doing ok with one device.
-
 ok UNMS installed fairly painless.
-
Be nice if UNMS did unifi aswell for a overall one plane of glass overview.

Guess it was time both of an update and a reboot. Now running 1.9.7

Very very likely - I don't know anything about cron jobs... but I would say that it would work the same.

@gjacobse said in Ubiquiti released EdgeOS 1.9.7: Guess it was time both of an update and a reboot. Now running 1.9.7 Man, I should have grabbed a copy of my colo router uptime, 334 days before the update.

Luckily I have a stack of these things in case it didn't boot.

Luckily I have a stack of these things in case it didn't boot. Except my colo is 400 miles away. So I have two routers there. The colo staff will move Ethernet if needed.

Just got my EdgeRouter for home hooked up after years of it disconnected.
-
@scottalanmiller I've been using my Unifi USG at home, but I think I may put it at my parents house and switch back to my EdgeRouter.
