      Some if the crazy includes:

      • The 5 1/4" floppy will never go away because you can't transfer all those programs to other formats.

      • Memory based storage will never compete with the "unlimited" capacities of floppies.

      What he did get right.... That vertical magnetic bits would improve drive density. His company invented that decades later.

        At the time that he recorded this the 3.5" floppy was uncommon but already assumed to be the next standard. Within a few months both Apple and Commodore completely dedicated the world to the 3.5" standard. 5 1/4" floppies were seen as a dead end technology within the year.
