Sodium Update
-
Just wanted to make a quick post about a known bug. It looks like right now we are not actively, accurately displaying application data from linux boxes. We are collecting it but not displaying it properly. I already see what the issue is, when I get a moment today I'll make the correction.

Question, how long usually will it take for a Unit to show on the admin console?
-
My one machine is still a no-show, probably something I've done wrong!

They were having issues yesterday, not sure it was reported as resolved.
Have you rebooted after installing the agent?
-
@dbeato and @FATeknollogee Usually not very long between 2 and 7 minutes depending on how lucky you are in terms of agent pick ups. We did as @Dashrender said have a LOT of work done on the pick up jobs so it's possible our system has your machines listed oddly because of that. If you message me the machine name I can check and remedy the situation.
-
@fateknollogee @dbeato Glad we got both of you up and running! Please post if any other issues come up. Thanks!
-
Installed one yesterday and it didn't show. It was there when I logged in this morning though. The applications section is blank currently and I thought I saw people upthread with results there.
-
@ndc Yep, this is a known bug (side effect of all the agent pick up work that was done yesterday). I will be fixing that here in a little bit.

Not instant, I seem to get around 3-5 minutes most of the time, I think. If it doesn't show up in about that, it seems to be an issue and won't show up.

My Windows boxes all show applications (although two had some disappear, but maybe that is fixed now) but none of my Linux boxes are showing applications yet.
What OS do you have? I'm testing several different Linux releases. I'm working from Ubuntu right now, so that's getting heavily tested. And my wife's laptop is Gecko.
-
@scottalanmiller Oh right, I suppose I probably should have mentioned that. It is a laptop with Windows 10 v1703 installed.

Oh, and the apps are not populating?

Yup, nothing there. @QuixoticJeremy seems to have the issue in hand based on his previous post. Will give it a bit, maybe wait for his next update saying that fixes are ready for testing.
-
@ndc Yes this is a known bug. It's going to be a bit before a fix. I've had some higher severity situations come up (unrelated to Sodium) that have my attention for the time being. My apologies for the delay.
-
@quixoticjeremy No worries, I'm not in a hurry. Looking forward to seeing Sodium progress!
-
My one client still hasn't shown up, I've just restarted the service so will see what happens in a few minutes.
-
@dustinb3403 Which client is this? send me a message
-
We had a small update pushed earlier today, uptime is now displayed in logical units. Not just all in seconds, any longer.
-
We just rolled out another small bug fix release. Nothing to see, but it just came up. Hopefully the collection jobs are more solid.
-
Small release just went out, mostly updates to wording on the deep dive drill down asset view.
