      I get an error when trying to create a folder:

        Message does not get much cleaner than that. Login to the web portal and try to do the same thing if you get the same error

              SElinux or folder permissions error on the server side.

                The Server Administration Manual suggests the log file should be in the data directory.

                The logfile of Nextcloud is located in the data directory nextcloud/data/nextcloud.log.

                      Not SELinux, turned it off to test. No change. Doesn't look like perms, the apache user owns everything. It can't access files, either. Something certainly wrong.

                        Thanks to @scottalanmiller for correcting the issue. I was watching when it was working on it, but sadly do not recall what it was he did.
