For MSPs, for example, things like XO are godsends. Centralized management for multiple installations, no need for Windows licensing just for a GUI interface, etc.

Maybe someday @olivier will integrate support!

If he doesn't soon, someone else will. 5Nine has kept that part of the market at bay with a free offering. This is going to change how other vendors view that space, very quickly.

I don't see where it gives you a console. That's really the only important part.

Oh I'd happily be a XO user if Xen itself was not the ugly step sister of the VM world. Some of the stuff it is doing is just too special to really throw it into the mix of offerings, so its hyper-v or (heaven help us) VMWare.

@wirestyle22 without a console, you might as well be on PowerShell.

We go from ugly step sister to the uncle who does everything for the family but is invisible.

Looks like they are working on fixing their SSL issues. But damn! Didn't 5Nine used to cost around $400 for single host? Now the least expensive option is their 1-yr license on 5Nine Datacenter for $749.

Also looks like they've obliterated any links to previously downloaded products. The My Downloads section used to have a list of what I'd downloaded but it's empty now.

Someone is going to step into that space very quickly, I guarantee it. As Hyper-V grows, that market is ripe for the picking.

Yes, one because it's an insanely obvious market gap that has been filled for all the other products and only avoided on this one because it was not needed because of 5Nine and because I know of more than one company kicking around the idea because it's such a huge market gap and if I know a few talking about it, tons more are actually talking about it.
