Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has a new Galaxy S8 killer with better specs (including faster processor, 50% more RAM) for just $362 in the Chinese market. That's right, about half the price of the Samsung. Luckily for Samsung this one is not slated to be available anywhere outside of the Chinese market.
-
And for a phone that is outside the Chinese market. Look at the OnePlus
Currently using a OnePlus 3 and have been since October. Great quality phone, delighted with it.

I've still never seen one of those in the real world. Very rare to get phones that are not provided by carriers in the US market.

Yeah. Most of us are content with the offerings of our carriers. I've had the Pixel XL for about 2 weeks now and absolutely love it! I don't even carry my tablet around any more.
-
I've got a Motorola (why did they have to sell to Lenovo of all companies!) G4 Plus, the one with 4GB ram that nobody reviews. It's been so much better than even my Nexus 5 was.
-
I don't know why but I just don't care about mobile technology in its current form
shrug

I don't really care about it, but I need the one that I have to actually work, lol.

That is so cheap. Why don't they offer it in other markets? People would definitely buy that.

Import and export laws as well as carrier agreements.
Also it is entirely possible the cellular bands are different and they did not build compatibility into it. -
@scottalanmiller - you can actually buy one while you're in Kyiv. We do have all of them available officially at approximately the same prices as in CN. Most of them are also dual SIM/SIM+MicroSD so you can either "Scale Out" the carrier coverage, or Scale up the storage

True, while Lenovo still are making new phones with the brand like Motto M

But still it is scary to buy from Lenovo, reviewers said that the Android OS looks and feels like stock like the usual but now we cant be sure, Lenovo have habit for injecting weird crap that you cant remove. For me I am liking and loyal to HUAWEI , I actually like their ROM, sure its not anything near Android stock, but I like the extras, I found them professional and helpful and non intrusive.
Had P8 Lite for 2 years and now NOVA Plus, and happy with the new phone. The only thing it is missing is WiFi ac and dual band but for me that is not an issue

That's pretty tempting, actually.

I wasn't much of a Motorola fan before they sold to Lenovo. Even less of one now. They were great in the 1980s, but the late 1990s were not good to Motorola. I miss the M68000 days.

Toughest phone I ever owned was a little Motorola Startac flip phone.

It's also useful for home security. I'm pretty sure you can bludgeon intruders to death with it and then call 911 from the same phone

I own a redmi 4 by xiaomi. Buyed the global version from local import shop. Glass is really sensitive. Anything else in 1.5 month of usage is on par with any other more expensive phone. A collegue of mine has the mi 5. Really good too.
Just need few months to get the official global rom out and you can buy it in Europe.

If it would work with the wireless bands in the U.S.... would it be possible to have someone in China buy one and bring it back?
