YouTube TV Goes Live Today in Five US Cities
-
Google YouTube's newest service YouTube TV goes into effect in select markets in the US today. The service starts in New York, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, and Philadelphia. More cities to come soon. One month free trial is available but the cost will be $35/mo once the trial is over.
In theory, the service is based on where you live and will allow you to watch television from your home city anywhere that you are.

TV antenna works for me. $35 is too much because I will never watch most of the content on that service.
It is a decent stepping down price for people with $100+ cable services now. But really not much to it that is worth it.

More than the cost of Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix combined per month. And you have to watch youtube commercials in addition to the broadcasters commercials.

It's to compete with Sling, which costs about the same.

The reason to pay for Sling too is for Sports. The only thing keeping cable packages alive right now

I think that YouTube TV is handling that, isn't it?
