Moving our domain from old 0365 account to new one.

Does anyone know if its possible to remove a domain from one O365 account and immeditely add it to a new one?
I tried this years ago when I accidentally signed up for the small biz plan instead of enterprise. They then told me I had to wait 90 days to activate the domain again. Hopefully things have changed since then. It was probably 5 or 6 years ago.

Why are you moving the domain to a new O365 account?

Company is splitting in two. 2 domains already as this has been long time coming. One of has to start a new account and move or pick a different platform.

Ok so Splitting in two and no longer connected at all or just 2 separate email domains?

@Minion-Queen We have both domains under a current 0365 account. Have to move 1 domain and the associated mailboxes off to another 365 account.
Microsoft of course wont do this. Ugh.

Ok suggestion would be to move off to something else and then move back to O365 after a couple weeks.
I also suggest Gmail for business as an option it works very well.

@Minion-Queen I cant give you any good reason why we wont use Google Apps. I know I would get a lot of flack over it.
