IT Would You Rather...

@anthonyh That's probably what makes it easier for me. I don't have the "yay toys" feeling that most people get. So the "challenge of making due" really plays a major role.
-
@scottalanmiller I suspect over time it'd get old. I like a challenge just as much as new toys, so if it's all toys and no challenge, that's no fun either.

Having worked for both, the 2nd with limited resources but dedicated to doing good is BY FAR the one to work for.

That's my thoughts.

Well, what is the context of "good IT" in this scenario?
Is it good IT as in simply doing IT the "right" and "proper" way?
Is it good IT as in doing good IT for good causes (like philanthropic organizations)?

That's my question. I think I would rather work for a philanthropic organization rather then one that has unlimited money but questionable business practices.

I'll take the unlimited budget, please. Someone said it makes it too easy. I like easy. Almost feels like cheating? Perfect, I'll take all of that, too. Unlimited money, so that I can set my job up well enough to practically do itself... challenge accepted!!
So you can farm out your job?
-
Is this question being asked from an employee perspective or MSP perspective?

If cost isn't a factor our jobs can literally be picking up a phone and saying yes to everything. Why not?

I was actually thinking more about automation than a person, but whatever fits. If I can get paid to do nothing, I'm all over that!

Infinite work force doesn't mean there is enough space to grow that much food. Even if there was staff to work that much farm space.

Doing what is good for making the business successful.

Can't, you have to feed that infinite workforce now!

Sadly, the truth is that there is already way more than enough food to feed the world with no trouble at all. It's government corruption and greed that perpetuate hunger, not remotely anything to do with a lack of food.

I'd say more general corruption and greed. Government just shows it more because who's going to call them to account?
