Just recently started watching Dr. Who with my wife. The 2005/newer version. On season 1 episode 8 I believe.

Oh awesome, welcome to the club. The first season is good, but it really blossoms by the third season. You'll feel a huge leap forward going into the second with the next doctor. The whole reboot is pretty awesome, although recently it has been floundering, but you have two massive story arcs to kick off and go through yet that will take you for many seasons and is some of the best television ever.
I've been watching Dr. Who since Tom Baker (fourth doctor) circa 1980.

Just finished Mad Men last night... that last episode was a huge let down. I know many series finales suck, but it was such a great show all the way until the last one.

It does start a little slow, but Don Draper is my hero. And there are plenty of characters you love to hate too.

See, I watched the first season and I just couldn't care about Don Draper and that's the entire show it seems like
