Wathing GLOW with @Dominica
I'm liking GLOW so far. Not as good as OitNB but still very good.
Only two episodes in, but it's decent. I like Alison Brie a lot, I am a huge fan of community so glad to see her with this.
That's where my wife and I are as well. I honestly didn't even realize it was Alison Brie until I looked up the actress on IMDB. She just looks so much different then she did in Community.
It was a couple years before I realized she was Pete's wife on Mad Men. Pretty crazy, you see her naked in the first 10 minutes and there is no way you would match that up to Community or Mad Men.
She's naked at the beginning of GLOW, too.
-
@scottalanmiller she never was nude in Mad Men, was referring to GLOW.
Now with 80's Robot I am hooked...
-
@bigbear I think Mad Men would have been even better with some nudity.
-
Old kung fu movies on Prime
Crippled Avengers
Kung Fu vs Yoga - this one has the craziest fight scene ever. -
@momurda I added a ton of old Kung Fu movies to my Amazon video list... Now I just need time to watch them.

Once in a while I get into those.

I was trying to stream Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town over the weekend, but only found 1 episode that would work. Totally hilarious though, really want to see the rest.
-
Saw Streets of Fire in the theater last night. The writer Larry Gross was there and chatted with us for a bit. Mentioned Final Fight as a video game that was heavily influenced by the movie and he claimed not to have heard of it previously. That was pretty cool!
-
Watched Castlevania too, and finished One Punch Man (Netflix episodes) last night.

Heard a lot of great things about Castlevania but haven't seen it yet. OPM is one of my favorites.

Castlevania was good. It was not the super awesome bestest thing every that some people are trying to say it is.
I think that is because so many people saying that have no experience with mature concepts in animation.
Edit: it was good. I cannot wait for season 2. Don't take that first sentence to say it was bad.

At least it didn't turn out like Berserk

What's that supposed to mean?

I enjoyed Gantz:0 way better than Castlevania. Space Pirate Harlock was ok, nonsensical plot but animation was good.

Gantz:0 was very good in both story and CGI animation.

I'm definitely looking forward to Season 2. I enjoyed the show more than I thought I would (especially because of the Hype train around it).
Season 1 sets a good bar for expectation, I think.

What a pile of shit.
The animation in in CV is certainly not very good IMO. But it suffices to tell the story.
The animation in Berserk is not actually that bad, yeah it has bad spots, but it is more about it was put together horribly. If you want a more intelligent review instead of random people spewing bullshit, try this.

I really enjoyed the voice acting in Castlevania. Not because it was that great, but because it was Richard Armitage and Matt Frewer. It was a decent intro to a series, but nothing amazing. It is short (4 episodes), so it has that going for it.
