I love this movie. Always have. Teaches a lot of good concepts too.

$$$. They spent the budget on SFX and random big budget actors
So of course there was no money left for writers

Such as, if there is a polar vortex that is going to drop the temp 10 degrees/second coming towards you, then it is okay to pop into a Wendy's to get warm and cook up a few burgers.
