Quickbooks has a solution for this, why wouldn't this work?

The client told me and I forgot already. I'll have to go back and get some more information.

Is this the go to solution, then?

Fishbowl looks like the right fit for their size. At least I can have them talk to their sales guys and do a demo. Most of the time they are running with less than 8 employees, so this is not a very large organization.

Oh, I'm confused. Are you looking for a UPC scanner AND an integrating ERP now? I thought that they had an ERP and needed something that did UPC for both.

Well when they came to me at first they were talking about the UPC side. As it turns out what they really need is an ERP system. I didn't know enough about either to ask enough questions.

Okay, now I understand. Have you mentioned to them that generally an ERP system would do what QB does, so they would kind of have two of the same thing at that point?

For an ERP, check out Odoo.

Last place I worked used hosted Epicor. It seemed ok. Make sure they test everything. Every ERP I've seen always has some gotcha unless it's completely custom.

@Mike-Davis you may look at these guys too... https://locateinv.com/ we were going to switch to them, but their manufacturing module didn't do everything we needed it to do.
