There are all of these myths in IT that all of us hear time and time again. @Dashrender proposed a thread to talk about and enumerate "popular" myths within IT that just won't go away. So... let's get started and I'll try to keep the main page updated.
- Hardware RAID is Faster Than Software RAID
- ZFS isn't RAID

Hardware RAID is faster than Software RAID

That ZFS is magic and doesn't use RAID.

Hyper-V runs on top of Windows and is a type 2 hypervisor.

Virtualization requires SAN/shared disk.

VOIP requires it's own VLAN for QoS.

You should keep a physical domain controller (or anything).

RAID 5 on HDD is still viable.
