Music!

  • Completely random, but who here likes music?
    What music do you like?
What kinds of equipment do you use for your listening experience?
What would your top five songs be?
Any music suggestions for anyone else here?
    Also, any fellow Audiophiles?

  • I like music! I listed to Pandora at work and it's usually some sort of typical Alternative Rock. I also play guitar & bass as well as a small bit of mandolin (on my banjolin) and trying to learn to drum.

I appreciate a good listening experience, but I'm not in the audiophile category.

  • I guess another part to add to this would be who here is a musician of any sort haha. I've got a wide but very particular music taste, most people tend to dislike it. I like Metal (specifically things in the vein of Metallica and such), I do enjoy Alternative Rock quite a bit. I listen to anything classical, a very small amount of Pop, a lot of older things (i.e, The Five Keys, Elvis, Victor Borge). I also enjoy Techno and Dubstep quite a bit, as well as Funk and Classic Jazz. I currently only play guitar, but I'm working on Bass, Drums, and Violin. I would call myself an Audiophile, but the general "Audiophile" crowd is not something I associate with. I've got a nice setup for listening, an ASUS Xonar Phoebus and a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 990 Premium 250 OHM versions.

  • I have a feeling that everyone likes music. Never met someone who didn't

  • Well my house is full of musicians. I am a singer started taking voice lessons at 4 years old and also have played flute that long as well. I also play bass and am now learning keyboard.

  • @scottalanmiller that's cause you are REALLY old compared to your kids. Unlike me who is only old compared to my kid.

  • Might be building a website for a local band. I got to watch them practice today. I stood around watching for 2 hours before I left, it pained me to leave, but I had work to do. I can only remember the last two songs which were Tush for ZZ Top, Hard to Handle from the Black Crowes,
