I like it a lot. Totally different system. I use Drops, too.

I like it a lot. Totally different system. I use Drops, too.
Agreed. I use the same. I'm also looking for another way to talk with other natives. I have used Tandem before but it is only for iOS or Android. I wish they had a web app.

@scottalanmiller My oldest wants to take German for his foreign language requirement. I am thinking it would be good for both of us to learn it together so he gets more out of it. From the looks of it, duo lingo is the most popular. What pace should i go at? casual, regular or higher?

DuoLingo is the most popular by leaps and bounds. More people in the US use DuoLingo that attend US public high school foreign language! It's insane how heavily used it is.
You can change the pace anytime. I set to insane and shoot for a minimum of double that
If you are using it for a high school class, you'd want nothing less than 50 points a day that should only be ~20 minutes of time.
