Samsung Galaxy J7 Issue

  • My friend having Samsung J7 phone where he inserted new Memory Card of 32 GB.When the photos and videos are moved to SD Card then the same videos are present in the Phone memory also. Then I have deleted the phone photos but the photos inside SD card also automatically deleted without any information or query. Can anyone help me on this issue????

  • Are you SURE that they were duplicated..? Most phones will show it as being on the phone memory even if it's on the memory card...so you moved where it was stored, and then deleted it.

You said it yourself, you moved them, not copied them...moving means only one copy exists...

    I.E.

Moved it from the internal memory to the SD Card > Phone still shows it in the same way, except it is now stored externally...you then deleted the external copy from the SD card.

  • @NattNatt is correct, your description of what you did would mean that you should expect that the data would have been deleted. Maybe you can use a recovery process to get them back.

  • @NattNatt No when i moved the data from the Phone the SD as well as the Phone has the same data which is verified. After verifying only i have deleted the data in phone but the data in the sd card also deleted automatically without any prompt

Your sentence contradicts itself. If you moved, it could only be in one place. Not both. Moving and copying are different concepts.

  • @scottalanmiller I know this is the issue in the phone i have moved only but the issue comes that is the different thing i seen the phone now

No, it's not an issue with the phone

You MOVED the files. Not copied. That means ONE SINGLE instance of the files.

You then deleted said Instance of the files.

Then you're surprised there isn't a copy anymore..?

Just because the photo's show up in your photo's app doesn't mean they're not on the SD Card. If it's a decent Android it keeps showing the files in the same way, just moves the physical location. So either you moved it and deleted it, or you didn't move it and deleted it anyway. There is no other answer.

Solution: Did you have a backup to a PC? Google Drive? If not, then you might be out of luck.
