Gibberish Accepted for Nuclear Physical Academic Conference in US

If anything shows just how bad "science" and academia in the US have gotten, this has to be it.
-
Of course it's The Guardian reporting on it, nothing from state-side yet?

That had nothing to do with science and academia. If you get off your hate bandwagon long enough to process what the article actually said, you would see this.

Except what he said is exactly what I've been saying about academia. So while you might make a case that there is no academia in the case of this conference, his quote in no way says that it isn't academic. I've been saying that academia has little to do with science and is just about money making. So the two descriptions are, roughly, identical.

This is the conference: http://atomic-nuclearphysics.conferenceseries.com/

This is the academic organization that accredits the conference: https://www.cpdstandards.com/

Here are the so called journals that support the conference. No idea who these people are. Just providing the reference:

Doesn't appear to be any university sponsoring the event, but it looks like continuing development credits might be available for it, would be interesting to see which universities give credit via that accreditation. Maybe none.
