At $30, I'm definitely up for trying it out.

It's not expensive, so that's nice. The toilet bowl nightlight thing creeps me out, though.
But would be good for the kids. Act as a night light instead of leaving the main lights on.
Wait, are you suggesting leaving the toilet seat up at night, to serve as a nightlight?! I'm vetoing that one. Sorry.

Good point, the light would be trapped.

And as we know the woman always wins...

The lid not the seat. Either way though, it would illuminate.

As a single guy with no kids, I literally can't even.

Um, it was as a single guy with no kids that I always kept it down. The kids do it because we taught them to. Open toilets are not things that people ever want to look at.
Just look at pictures of people taking selfies in bathrooms. The moment there is an open toilet in the background... it just feels dirty.

Do you open the lid after you flush? Why would it be open? You should have it closed when flushing because that is when "stuff" gets thrown up into the air.
-
@scottalanmiller Nah man, I don't care - I know mine is clean because I'm the guy that cleans it every sunday. Lid and seat remain in the upright and locked position typically until Saturday, which is the first day at home where I will not be paid to drop the kids off at the pool. Truly a first world benefit which I enjoy. So much so, that for the last three years I've maintained a perfect bog roll average - 12/year.

I have a 65 Pound Pitbill and she would drink the toilet water if I didn't.. I don't care to get any licks after that so it stays down.
