You mean no one noticed since 2014?

If they weren't in the process of being acquired, I don't think they would have said anything.

500 million users... isn't that everyone with a Yahoo account?

            And some without one.

So, I would imagine that this includes their corporate clients as well. I can see why they'd want to hide that. Still, it's not a smart idea. It will come out eventually.

A company their size getting its ENTIRE user database lifted is very embarrassing.

Once you are breached, it if it 100 users or all of them... it's about the same impact wise.

We'll have to have a whip around to buy Troy Hunt a new storage pod at this rate.

Yeah and the recommendation from Yahoo is that if you haven't changed your password since 2014, you should change it...

Um yeah why not just close the account..

I was wondering when it was going to be confirmed. Yahoo kept wiping their brow and saying "Man, this is going to lower our value to Verizon... how do we spin this?"
