Getting the thread made, what topics would people be interested in seeing next year? While we are still here, might be a good time to discuss what would be useful while we are freshly thinking about it.
-
Maybe some round tables on topics like best and worst practices that we could go back and turn in to documentation or videos for the rest of the community.
-
Round table: go to hardware for server/NAS/router Hardware to avoid at all costs.

I bet this thread explodes with cool stuff the day after MC is over. "Things we would have liked to see" will probably get brought up...

What about a full day of Linux training in the training room? Like a class training, not a session.

That seems to be the local favorite.

Probably. But Ubuntu, Suse, would be great, too.
Could also do FreePBX, Solaris or something as well.

A session on FreePBX would be great! And may be complete Zabbix, ELK training as well?

Either of those would be great... SIP this year, Zabbix or ELK next year... and then the remaining one after that.

Now you're talking about tracks. A linux track might do something like...
Bring a laptop with at least 200 GB free space and 8 GB RAM. Install VirtualBox, then start the day building a Linux VM, and each session builds upon the previous session's build.

Then install the aetherstore demo and put it on all the machines in the training and drop the ISO on it. Then whoever needs the ISO mount the drive to it.

I wonder if having a permanent lab set up for people to play on would be good? Something where people could come in and sit down and do projects.... maybe that is set up and they just connect via their own laptops. If we have a lab on the LAN we might be able to have several different things all running at once and do some cool stuff.
-
Wifi? Maybe a demo on capacity planning with 802.11ac? Something I'm still trying to figure out myself.
I love the Linux track idea

I could do a half day or better session on setting up freepbx if it was on the lab platform instead of my own vultr account.
