Yes, X2Go connects using the same protocol as direct SSH, it's SSH under the hood. So you need the same username, password, server name and port as you did with SSH.

@WrCombs yup, that's a direct SSH connection and does not have a screen / display on which for the machine to present or "throw" in UNIX terms, the Firefox application. X2Go uses SSH but gives a display to the remote machine so that it can throw Firefox to you.

probably not, seeing how i dont know what im doing and im trying to learn.. what do i need to put into the terminal?

Not in the terminal, in X2Go. There is a place to type in the port number, if you didn't type in 8022, it can't work.

all im in is the terminal. x2go isnt opening after i start the server. -

all im in is the terminal. x2go isnt opening after i start the server.Well the terminal isn't an option so don't keep trying that. You have to use X2Go to connect to the server instead to be able to do anything graphical, like have a web browser. So start with X2Go.
