Ubiquiti Access Point Missing

@gjacobse Seems to me that it's either picked up an IP it should not have, or it's not online at all.
-
Did a quick search for the Unbt Unifi Discovery tool and found that there is a Google Chrome Extension. Installed that and found the devices. Sadly though, not able to sign into them So they will need to be hard reset I believe to call home and pick up the config.

So cable monkey it is for today.
Fun times..

There is a reset button on the injector. So if you have those easily accessible then it shouldn't be too bad.

While I said I didn't want to be a monkey,.. I won't have to anyway. Those APs are about 500 miles south of me,.. so sadly I'll have to have someone onsite perform the action.

Even better, that email should read
"Dear cable monkey, find these AP's for me and perform a factory reset on them, confirm when they are online by logging into them with the default user name and password (of which you'll have to google) once completed drive to me, rather than sending an email to inform me of this completed task. -Your's truly Overloard"

Great for you, not for someone else.
Make sure you instruct them to hold the reset till the led goes out completely (about 30~40secs) I have seen where it looks like there reset but they just powercycled

Yes, 3 of the 5 found have been reset and I can SSH to them. Though the controller has yet to find them. Maybe due to the differences in subnets.
Controller is on a 2.x while the rouge APs are on a 1.x
-
@gjacobse could be... from ssh you can specify the controller address.
-
We've been able to Default the remaining APs and they are adopted. We have one that is being stubborn, while it 'pings' it's not reachable. Suspect an issue with the AP itself. One just lost the heartbeat, but, it was found and adopted.
All in all, four of the six are running and good to go. lot better than where we started.
Thanks
