Bread in America

Always have loved the heels. As a child I went on a field trip to Wonder Bread and got to have a heel from a loaf that was right out of the oven! I prefer rye, pumpernickel and sourdough bread over white bread.
LOL. um... yum? Wonder Bread?

We've been trying to find good bread that our kids still like. Ended up discovering that Bimbo was the best option. They won't eat artisan bread, but we don't want them eating most of that stuff. Bimbo has no corn syrup.

I was a kid, it was fresh hot bread, I didn't care at the time.

The bread I've been loving is from a regional Ma & Pa place around here, gotta find out from where, they make a Jalapeno Cheddar Sourdough. Mouth Watering good, for a small batch of loaves they even added bacon pieces into them. The only sad thing is when my store was carrying them it was few & far between to get them & expensive. My roommate never was able to bring one home so we had to give them our money, & with a smile, not unlike a kid on Christmas, we gladly accepted them.

I miss the bread in Europe. They take their bread very seriously over there. Nothing like here. The bread is amazing absolutely everywhere.

I guess I will just have to spell it out then from now on (btw, I only do that to mock hashtagging)

I've been thinking for a while how fun it would be to plan and lead small group trips around Europe. Ride the rails, stay in mom-n-pop places, hang out with the locals - all the stuff we like to do. I would have to have a clause in the contract stating that if someone turns out to be an annoying ass, I can leave them behind to finish the trip on their own.

Sounds like the inaugural MangoLassi Conference could be held in France. I'll nominate Lyon as I've never been there and the food is supposed to be out of this world.

@Carnival-Boy not the Alsace, gets too hot. The wine and food is great though. And the people are wonderful.
