Well we had better success than Scott's client yesterday - switch with a bad port - move the uplink cable to another port and back in business.
-
Yesterday's switch issue is now todays still....

So the power cycle didn't fix it?

Oh the fun of driving across the country to see clients. That's what @g-jacobse is doing this morning too.
This is a scheduled thing, part of my agreement with my company and our clients in order to facilitate my relocation to Chicago. I come down to St.Louis every other week for client and company meetings.

8 hour drive (4 hours one way) every other week? That seems like it could get old quickly.

Darn thing has died though. They have to order a new one.

I'm SO upset about Barcelona and what they are doing. This is pure evil.

We just figured out that my daughter, who is just starting to read, can read upright or upside down equally well!!

It's not Barcelona that is doing it Scott, it's this person that is in charge who is acting stupidly for her own self interest.
I can promise you she is in some multi-billionaires' pocket.

That would be the only obvious answer, of course. If this was the US that would be, without question, what was going on. So sad to see that happening in Spain where you do not expect things like that.
-
HR meeting to go over final paperwork and other info.

Less likely a single rich person but more likely in the pocket of a consortium like the Barcelona hoteliers consortium that has a lot to gain by hurting the people who live in Barcelona in exchange for increasing hotel profits. This would line up with the attempt to shut down people getting accommodations outside of the city as well.

Getting some "morning" coffee. Even though I have been going for six hours now. Sometimes it takes me a while to get to the coffee.

That kind of sucks for what is going on at Barcelona though, that would be one of the places I'd visit for vacation. Seemed like a rather great place.
Yet how does anyone manage someone (or government) saying what they can do with their own property. I'd tell em to piss off.

One of my favourite places anywhere. Amazing city. But apparently the people who live there aren't too keen on visitors or freedom or privacy Makes me never want to set foot there again, even though it was my favourite city ever to visit in 2012.
I totally understand their tourists problems, but they aren't solving them, they are making them worse.

Did you see that they are starting a system to seize that property? They are attempting to get municipal ownership of the real estate by driving everyone out of their homes.
