What Are You Doing Right Now

Been a relatively successful weekend already, worked with a laser engraver, made some HF contacts and taking a load to Goodwill.
Do some cleanup another work some more HF. Need to look at the truck and mow the yard.

Nice, I'm in my office hiding from the downpour.

What a quiet weekend!

Sitting in DIA on the way to LA.
Not a bad airport to be sitting in.
Nope, I've never had an issue in Denver airport.

We're relaxing and trying to recover after a day spent a Cedar Point. Back in the hotel and looked at my step counter, 18093. A normal day is ~5600.
Did you get hit by any of the storms yesterday?
Around 3:45 PM. We got into the park at 9:00 AM, so we still had a long day riding rides and roller coasters. Very few lines this time of year as it's the first week Cedar Point is actually open during the week.
Wow,
I haven't been there since I was in high school. I would like to get there again.
You definitely should. Halloweekends is a great time to go if it is still warm with no rain.
Halloweekends when we went was so busy as to make it not worth the trip (paying for the expensive fastpass would've helped, but we didn't know ahead of time).
We're fastpass fans. My oldest daughter just responded, nope. I'm working her over with my son-in-law's help. This is going to be fun.
Yeah, fastpass is a must if you're going when there are any crowds at all. We were just walking on most of the rides and coasters.
FastPass is dead - Genie Plus is the new thing, and it sucks in comparison, and it's not free.

I believe you are thinking of Disney. I chose no in March as I didn't think I would enjoy paying upwards of $15 per ride at a specific time or $20 per day. On vacation, my time is worth less than $15 per hour so I just picked specific rides to wait for and blew off the rest.
Cedar Point still has their Fast Pass. I just noticed that they have a Fast Pass Plus. Also the original Fast Pass no longer includes 4 of the top rides. Could have been there a while but I just noticed this year.

Yep, we're talking about Cedar Point, which is only ~2 hr drive away from us.
Also, yes, Fast Pass Plus is what you'd want to get. More expensive per day than a season pass (if you get the season pass for the 2022 season today 6/6/2022, it's $99).

This is true - I am talking about Disney.
and you're right, while on vacation, often our time is worth less than working time. That said - given the limitations of Disney Plus and paying a per ride fee limitations, it's still likely not worth the added cost. Personally _ I rope drop the parks and hit those rides first, saving the hours in line. -
Good morning all. Very busy here already this morning!

Damn you Monday.... Shit was cruising along just fine, then you made me forget to order "no mayo" on my sandwich. So now I have to go get lunch.

I just got off the phone with a loan agent, and I'm getting a home equity cash out loan for some basic home repairs and (Don Pardo voice)... A BRAND NEW KITCHEN!!!!!!
It is long overdue, the rest of the house is great but the kitchen sucks. And my gf and I cook, she bakes, and we've been making our own gummies... all that takes space we don't have. But not for long. Hoping to get it actually started by the end of the year. Before, during, and after photos will be provided.

(still wildly expensive)
Nice, congrats!

I hope it doesn't turn out like my neighbors desire to replace their deck. They had gotten estimates for the deck (wood) and concrete work. ... But then things went south and the last estimate was close to $89,000!! I'm hoping it was IS some exaggeration. but jeezh

Yep, congratulations mate, exciting times. The kitchen is a great place to spend money on your home, it's an investment.

Well, my contractor is one of my best friends, he lives next door, and is an absolute MASTER when it comes to custom kitchens and bathrooms. And decks too... I've seen his professional portfolio, and it is quite impressive.
Did your friends get that deck quote for regular, pressure treated lumber or one of the fancy new synthetic decking materials? The latter is CRAZY expensive, but it lasts considerably longer. But all material costs have gone way up, I wouldn't be surprised if 89k was for basic wood construction.

About to head to the grocery store.

Buying Unifi APs in Managua.

Sounds like you might have better availability of equipment at retail than the states.

I was joking about that this morning. We were able to buy five APs today, no problem, and Unifi's own site says out of stock
