Not enough. This sort of continued behaviour by people will be the spark that triggers the robot revolution

@nadnerb haha, bloody robots.
been watching Raised by Wolves, damn show's got me sucked in. Last episode tonight, it seems to be a 1 season only, but with 1 episode left, it looks like another show that will end with an unfinished story? -

I will give it a shot. Did a search and it looks like Season 2 is still shooting.

Wondering.
If you had a new customer with a greenfield and your doing the network and wifi.
Would it all be Ubiquiti stuff? Or a mix.Example 5 buildings/cabin,
80 PC/Laptops
4-5 Servers running 40-45 VM'sMulti core fibre to 2 buildings then only a single cat6 cable for the others.

40-45 VMs?

@hobbit666
Since it’s a greenfield- I’d pick one vendor for networking,.. UBNT has been solid for me personally and the times I have deployed as a replacement... one single configuration tool -

I wouldn't have any issue doing all UBNT gear, that said, 4-5 VM hosts? 40-45 VMs? What kind of networking back end do they have there? 10 GB I assume? I know UBNT has stuff in that range, but is it good for this type of setup - yeah I have absolutely no clue!
Also - why so many hosts for what today seems like few VMs? What do the VMs do? -

I like Ubiquiti for APs and Edgerouters.
Their network gear is priced higher than equivalent gear from other vendors most times, but I only know that to be true for the lower end 8 and 16 port switches. So I'd go with a different vendor for those (HP/Aruba are what first comes to mind.)
What you need to answer for yourself is how much of a value add is it sticking to a single vendor? Even sticking to just Ubiquiti should have you managing things in two different places because the Edgerouters use a different management backend than the UniFi routers, and you probably shouldn't be using the UniFi routers as they're more limited in a number of ways.

@Dashrender @gjacobse
This is just for one site. They have several manufacturing sites around all linked via VPN/SDWAN stuff.Their HO is just old and needs an update (if they get some money) Just wondering what people would do, if you could rip it out and start again.
I have suggested they try and pull some fibre from the cabins to the main server room instead of daisy chaining switches.
