What Are You Doing Right Now

I just found out that the audio software I used for most of the last 20+ years is still around. Apparently Sony sold it to Magix, who has modernized it. So now I'm going through some of my earliest electronic stuff, some will open, other won't. Going forward this will be an emotional, exciting, frustrating obsession to add to my daily routine. Might be rendering out some tunes that I might post somewhere and link to here. Or I will lose what's left of my sanity tweaking a remix for a contest that ended 15 years ago.
/me waves by to @RojoLoco's sanity.

In weekly project status meeting. Having to listen to the Linux folks talk about the stuff they're working on, which is, alas, outside of my reach.

Fun way to start the day.

I've been lobbying to do stuff with / move into the Linux team. Eventually though, I'll need to move on, if such lobbying fails.

So we found out last night that the hotel that we bought isn't a slow, collapsing hotel that we can live in. It's a thriving totally packed hotel with reservations!

O.o Seems like you might should have checked that first. However, that will make it quicker to turn a profit, lol.

Training a new hire, getting him used to installing a hypervisor, setting up a VM, using ssh to access the session.
OOBM usage to install the host etc etc

Been cleaning up years of "never posts, never comes back" users from the system. There are so many people who made accounts and never came back even a week later to sign in and never posted anything. I think most are automated account creations. Been eliminating those. We've been around long enough to warrant that stuff.

Researching Microsoft Endpoint Manager licensing.

grabbed another coffee, ready to go home.

I could have gotten more done at work this week if I had stayed at home and slept.

Picked up some Blue Light glasses on Amazon,
I can notice there's not as much eye strain looking at the screens. -

I can notice there's not as much eye strain looking at the screens. On Monday, I’ll be picking up new lenses for my normal, vision correcting glasses, which should have some kind of coating to filter blue light. I’m looking forward to them.

Getting ready for sleep

@dafyre TRUTH. If I didn't have work stuff to do here and there, my eyes would have fallen out by now. And at this point I'm just sorting through a gazillion folders full of samples and loops, and FX plugins, etc. Basically building the environment that will allow my long used work flow for audio stuff, new or old.

My least favourite task.... diagnosing something that is "slow".

oh come on... you know it's every IT person's favorite request.
I just had this two days ago - turned out that WiFi caused a huge delay... exactly why - don't know...possibly the nic in Surface Pro 6.
