Painting of the last room is underway!
You guys going to live in your hotel for the short term?
Or you have a place down there already?Short term looking like crashing with relatives in Houston and then my dad in NY. Then maybe a week or two in Atlanta with customers. But very little "short term" left as the current place wants to move super fast. Paul should be living in the new place in 12 days!

Paul is heading directly to the new home. We have to stage in the US temporarily with the dogs while we arrange the sale of the house here and the chartered flight with the dogs.

Drinking a beer, and watching some YT. just finished installing some Ubiquiti APs for a customer.
Another tech ran the cables but didn't mount the APs to the ceiling tiles and just left them pointing to the roof....

The point was are you going to continue to use the hotel as a hotel or live there?

Oh.... hotel for a little bit till we fully move in (and run out all of the existing reservations.) Then just our home while we do some major renovations.
Once renovations are done, we should be open as a full hotel again.

We incorporated a new hospitality company today. Paperwork has been in motion for months, but we officially own a Central American hospitality company.

The restaurant is going to stay open all the time, though. We plan to actually expand the food and drink services more or less right away.

Practicing some Ansible syntax. Need to start doing this daily.
-
Ordering our loads of last minute Apple electronics so that they have time to arrive before we leave!
-
@eddiejennings How are you finding Ansible, eh? That is one I've yet to use. Need to.

It's nifty. I'm preparing for the RHCE, which is now basically an Ansible exam, so I need to become more familiar with syntax and commonly used modules.
I think in practice, especially for RHEL and environments of other distributions, it would be a useful configuration tool.

Getting some writing in between meetings.

Bar is getting painted.

I just found out that the audio software I used for most of the last 20+ years is still around. Apparently Sony sold it to Magix, who has modernized it. So now I'm going through some of my earliest electronic stuff, some will open, other won't. Going forward this will be an emotional, exciting, frustrating obsession to add to my daily routine. Might be rendering out some tunes that I might post somewhere and link to here. Or I will lose what's left of my sanity tweaking a remix for a contest that ended 15 years ago.

In weekly project status meeting. Having to listen to the Linux folks talk about the stuff they're working on, which is, alas, outside of my reach.

I've been lobbying to do stuff with / move into the Linux team. Eventually though, I'll need to move on, if such lobbying fails.
