Wow, just.... WTF
and they did it 3 times in the email..
I was just baffled, and had guess they meant NIC, which thankfully, I was correct. -

I was just baffled, and had guess they meant NIC, which thankfully, I was correct. It's amazing how often people get the simple things wrong because they just know a "sound" and don't realize what the full names of things are.
Like people who say MAC when they mean a Macintosh computer. MAC is an short for Machine Access Code, just like NIC is short for Network Interface Card. Knowing that, you really can't get them wrong. And in reverse, lots of people don't realize that the Apple Mac is short for the Apple Macintosh (literally a type of apple) and so often think that it's an abbreviation for something that they don't know. So you get Apple people who don't know that Mac is short for Macintish, and networking people that don't know the meaning of MAC!
The simplest things that we take for granted.

I've been one of those that confused MAC with Mac... but I learned the difference.
also, great point. -
User called " this tablet isn't working. just randomly stopped working."
so I connected into the Unifi Controller (this is one of the sites I set up..)
Ap is online.Reboot the tablet - User: " hey it's on airplane mode."
me: "thatd be why it's not working."
User: "these kids do this shit on purpose to annoy me." -
@WrCombs Also there is a difference when you are talking with voice than writing on an email. However it can get annoying if you are talking to me and saying Macintosh computer every time in a conversation lol.

Got up and went to get my first COVID test this morning. Very easy to get, we were the first ones there for the day. Just $150. We get the results tomorrow.
No concerns, just have to have it so that I can fly on monday.

No free tests here in Texas. Not even when I was at Urgent Care or the ER in the hospital for COVID symptoms. The tests are very closely guarded here to keep the reported numbers down. They are super discouraging of people getting tested. I only got this because I'm leaving the country.

I hate leaving for a week, it's long enough that I have to do SO much to get everything prepped before I can leave.
