Not sure what you are referencing?

Just got approved to move, talking to a real estate agent to figure out how to make it happen.

@scottalanmiller , this... WTF getting approved to move?

I asked the same thing lol

So you could just up and move your family without permission from your wife?

The way he phrased it had me thinking that he had to ask permission from business or agency. Confused me. No I wouldn't just move without asking the boss lol.

    Not long enough ,
I've already been told that I should have been here last week by someone in the corporate office.

I have been in the office every work day since the quarantine started, but usually for only an hour or less. But I'm the only one on the 5th floor when I'm here, and there are probably less than 10 people total in the whole building.

Well as you might remember, my Son's mom's boyfriend came in contact with a person who tested positive.
He was around my son after being exposed, and his mom was exposed. then around my son as well.
So we did a mandatory 2 week quarantine as instructed by doctors.
and I'm getting lash backs from the corporate office - basically challenging my reason for staying home.

  • What's weird is that they weren't even using Teams for screensharing, just for audio.

We knew someone that had that happen and it was recommended to call the police. And they did, and the police got involved for someone intentionally pushing against COVID orders to expose staff (and in that case, children too.) The police were really helpful and responded super quickly. That wasn't Nebraska, so it depends on if COVID quarantines are something you are supposed to honour or not. But there are generally mechanisms for this.

  • And reporting to the police or whoever is your COVID monitoring agency there, is important because later should an outbreak happen, you have proof that they were being negligent or worse and they can be held accountable.

Yeah. Depending on their actions and how the local jurisdiction takes it, that can be taken pretty seriously. Pushing known exposures to expose others can vary from "completely ignored" to "seen as an intentional act of terrorism". All depends on your police. A girl posting that she intended to do similar expose here in Texas ended in the later. And that was intended, just a claim, not actually doing it.

all of your own personal opinions beside - Have you used Teams on the web? It's aweful. I'm not surprised they have to disabled for possibly mutliple reasons - 1) it's aweful, 2) might be a security situation, Administration might not want people sharing Teams with outside entities. (this is only a possibility/Guess)

Correct, we don't think that they have a working phone system. It's a very small company (hence Teams at all) and doesn't really have the resources for stuff like phones it seems. They use people all over the world and as people who do phones for companies, the average IT person today isn't even aware that locality doesn't stop you from having working phones. It's amazing how little the average IT department can even evaluate phones let alone manage them.

back in the office for the first time this morning..
any guesses how long i'll be by myself today ?

Either too long or not long enough.

Hold the phone - you stayed home solely because the doc suggested it? Your office didn't mandate it? (don't make any inferences from my question, Scott)

Not solely, My boss told me to stay home.

yeah - so it boils down to that yelling person was uninformed on the situation - hopefully they cooled their jets when they were fully brought up to date.

Well, I talked to my boss about it this morning, and it's one person's opinion, because no one else knew I was out of the office on the corporate side.
But if it continues to be a problem my boss will go to them telling them the story and she'll handle it.
    I guess.
They wouldn't listen to me , maybe they'll listen to her'

    Well no one yelled, I almost did, but - I didn't .
But her opinion doesn't affect me how Hard I was working while at home.
