Heading home
You seem to travel on alot of pretty uninteresting looking roads JB, makes driving pretty boring.
No one has ever claimed interstate 55 to be anything else.
If they have, they were lying through their teeth.

Still doing Windows 10 upgrades.
-
Did a lot of ticket triage, too.
-
Still at my desk working. Still have coffee.

Do you do them remotely / Can you do them remotely?
I don't think you can, but there are many smarter people around that may have worked out how.

Oh yeah. Most are being run from our La Paz office. I'm just helping out. Only did on site ones for training purposes in NY over the summer.

It's surprisingly easy. Download the Windows 10 Media Creation tool and it walks you through the process.

Yep. If I have the option, I just sit at my desk at the office without going onsite. There is an extended period of waiting for it to reconnect to the RMM, but that time gets used to work on other tickets.

We've had reboots take nearly four hours! MS has confirmed this to be normal and unpredictable.

Wondered if I was going to end up with the "oops, that didn't work, so we rolled you back to Windows 7" message.
-
Fighting the new hyper v host... And losing. Finally got the os to start installing, I think my USB stick is dying.
Shakes fist vehemently
-
@scottalanmiller our Dell 6420 and 6430 systems are taking 5-6 hour reboots in some cases! Our other ones not nearly as long it something with those two systems and that's with the latest bios update!

Yeah. They should drop the 1d4+1 feature for reboot length.

I have 1 W7 PC I need to upgrade for a client. There's 5.5 hours of travel time to get to the PC. I have been attending on site as it was worthwhile to visit.
Maybe I'll try doing this single PC remotely? I really don't want to drive 2.75 hours, sit for 2-4 hours, drive home another 2.75 hours.
