Magically trying to get mic's to work with much new microphone tech (the plugs don't match) nor does the channel support. . . .

I'd sooner go and purchase what is needed.

@DustinB3403 What kind of mics and what kind of connectors? The only "new" mic tech is having a USB connection, the rest have been XLR or 1/4" since the 1940s.

There are mini-XLRs too with 3, 4 and 5 pins as well as the small 3.5mm phono connectors. Unfortunately. Probably others too.

Yes, but those are subsets of XLR and 1/4 inch. 5 pin mini XLR is either a stereo mic or a DMX lighting connector (carries control signals, not audio). Adapters for those are easy to find.

Yes, I know. I just saying there are many opportunities to have connectors that don't fit.

True. But I wouldn't expect to see overly odd connectors in an office setting. Worst case ontario would be that mini 4 pin on a headset. Or having a mono 3.5mm plug and a stereo port (or vice-versa). Personally, I say "impedance be damned!!!" If I can get a string of adapters, then I'm plugging this in here.
-
@RojoLoco Ontario truly is the worst case.

Thanks @BRRABill for hooking me up with a rack
I see from your Risk 2210 that you are a man of consequence and refined taste.

@RojoLoco We have Shure PG1 and shure ulx1 g3 units that we would want to incorporate together.
The units that these would connect to, don't have the same ports as the wireless mic amp we have from shure. We made it work with what we had, which was 1 G3 and a handheld.
