is usb considered physical media these days?
It is, and obviously we can make USB sticks. But it's not an infrastructure for it like having a DVD Writer or Printers.
We DO have printers, they just aren't used for the office printing.

Are the printers there just to be scapegoats?

Yes

Mostly they are used as scanners, not printers. When used as printers, it's normally to make pages for the kids to colour.

sometimes I make large coloring pages for the kids on our 36" wide plotters. They love those!

@scottalanmiller It was nice. There is a restaurant at the top, then you wind down the path. There is a central aquarium in the middle with animal exhibits all around it as you walk down. There there is another restaurant at the bottom. I always enjoy it.
Cool

Watching my Desk phone restart every 5-10 minutes saying " Server not found" "trying LAN"
Then it comes up.Tis gonna be a great day.
edit I dont know the first thing about these Toshiba IP Series Phones, or even how the have our phone system set up ( is it a PBX? The world may never know)
Businesses have PBXs. There is effectively no exception to that. It's like having a computer and wondering if there is a CPU.

do you have an extension? then you have a PBX.
We have one new PC connect to the network today ( New sales man started today) and we think that is what caused it.
Conflicting IP addresses, maybe?

That's what we were thinking as well.

Not using DHCP properly. Goes well with all of the other issues you've mentioned.

Just fixed a sound issue. The issue was caused originally by the AV company that we used who sold us a mixer that was installed in a podium and did not have xlr for microphones. The main purpose of this podium , is surprise, to be connected to our house sound. After looking at it I see the original tech just used a converted box ( xlr to trs ). When delivered to us, eh should have admitted right then and there they did not get the mixer right. I know these people arent stupid so i just see them as lazy and dishonest. Now the converter box appears to be dead and she did not have it connected to the external speaker jack anyway. No wonder I don't have much hair left.

Why would anyone sign off on a mixer for microphones that didn't have XLR inputs??? What the hell kind of cheap line mixer was installed? Let me know if you need mixer / audio advice... My degree is in audio engineering.

@RojoLoco Thanks! I don't know why it was signed off on. Its the same person that does our phone system. She just asked to come look at it this morning. I get there and I see a converter box plugged into the aux jack. The converter box is goes to a mic jack on the wall for reference. She didnt have the right cable to go from wall to mixer so I had to go find one of those. After that it worked fine, for being a cheap mixer.
I couldnt tell what brand mixer it was but who designs a lecturne system with a mixer that doesn't have a single xlr/mic jack on it. Its maddening. She should have known better but they definitely should have known better.

yeah - you know. that person who 'just works there'.

LOL .

@jmoore a lecturne system really only needs 1 channel of mic preamp. Those will have XLR and TRS out, plus input/output levels. If it's just 1 mic, you don't actually need a multi channel mixer.
-
@RojoLoco Yeah true. I can, however, see the need if they want to play music or a vhs/dvd over the house sound there. Someone wants to occasionally. My issue is that for something primarily used as a podium , talking to 500 people when the room is full, it doesn't have a single mic jack on it and only trs and a stereo rca pair on it.
