I have one of those cases for a lab server, the one I was working on last week, it works pretty well. Although there are no hotswap bays on it without some modifications.

been using them for years. I used them in video production, audio for live sound recording. And my last job I made all our router in rackmount atx cases with all intel Nics plus Fiber WAN cards running pfsense. They worked very well for the 6 locations.

I was actually thinking of putting my gaming PC in one of those and running cabling through the wall to my desk.

I just about popped wood I'm so excited - where has this been all my life!
Watercooled setup would fit so nicely in there... ugh my visa is on fire with the possibilities!

Somehow - I missed that. That might be an option for me to custom build a server box for myself. I need a Server and or NAS for file storage.

Looks like this is probably ATX standard... And it comes with free hardware.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SuperMicro-933T-2x-AMD-Opteron-250-2-6Hz-8GB-RAID-15-Bay-SATA-Storage-NAS-/331006965152 Great for a NAS.

Price:US $200.00
Shipping: $196.15 USPS Priority Mail InternationalEdit: it's not ATX but that's a minor quibble with hardware supplied for $200

What makes you think it's not atx? I think the motherboard is EATX so it would fit ATX.

Wow, I've never FORGOTTEN a year!! I've done them a year or two late, but I always filed the proper paperwork for doing that.
How do you FORGET?!?
How bad are the penalties there for that. Here they are pretty big.

IIRC ATX spec includes a spot for a standard PSU to bolt in

The ATX spec only includes the power output (and connectors) of the supplies. that make it ATX. The Standard size is just a general size that most use but isn't a true ATX spec.
-
@thecreativeone91 and you, sir, are indeed correct! I just looked it up! Page 25, item 5.2 does list a spec, but the PSU shown in that server easily meets or exceeds it.

Testing some Redis failovers. But failing.
