Apparently someone on the network has been very naughty..
homeland security just called Cox about a breach at our office..
We have not idea whats going on.

LOL soo apparently Homeland security calls ISP's?
And apparently someone in the office was reaching out to a Russian Website ( or at least hosted in Russia)
I know it hasnt been me,
No one else here said it was them LOLwe just lost internet for 5 minutes

Yes, someone just got social engineered. Whether it was Cox or your management or both, we don't know.

What's a security scan? Or you mean you have AV software on each endpoint that scans weekly?

Sorry. I have Security essentials as my antivirus (Put on before i got here)
So I I was saying we run Security essentials scans , but not everyone in the office has the same Antivirus
