You bet. Right now, I've inherited a network which grew for 20 years. And it looks like that. It works, somehow, but it's time to give it a facelift

yes, UAP AC Lite. Maxes at 800 Mb/s vs 1.2 Gb/s but my switches max at 1 Gb/s and I have very little need for 1.2 Gb/s inhouse to local servers.

Now with this, OK, if this extra bandwidth is actually useful (where are you streaming from? will it not be saturated before this pipe is?), then sure, the extra spend is worthwhile.

The pipe can't deliver the full bandwith, but we may be able to saturate 1GBit/s. The source does not exist yet. -

I don't follow - if you don't spend all of your budget, they will slash the budget to zero the next year? Wow - those people clearly don't know how to run a business.
As many issues as I have with our budget process, at least it's got non of the spend it or loose it issues.
